Hi Godfrey,

I have this lens (didn't bring it to the NorCal meet). Don't know if these are
the comments you are looking for but:

I really enjoy it for 75% of my casual, walk around, shooting needs on a ZX-5n.
I purchased it to replace the FA28-70/4 because it is longer at the tele-end. I
prefer it to the FA24-90 (which you saw in San Jose) when I'm indoors and want
to use the on-board flash which doesn't seem to like the 24-90 until 50mm or
so. I think it's because the FA24-90 has a larger diameter (67mm) than the
28-105 (58mm). Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. For outdoors, I haven't
used the both of them together to notice any difference. I keep the two as I've
got two AF bodies and they are the everyday body covers. <g>

As far as size goes, the 28-105 is about the same as 24-90, just narrower.

As far as technical comments go, I'll leave that for the more knowledgeable
members.
