We're generally a joyous people.  It's those long winters, skiing to
work and school, hauling kindling through the snowy forest, breaking
the crust of ice on the well so we can fetch water on those cold
winter mornings.

It makes us hardy, but happy in a simple, outdoorsy way.  So, when
spring comes, we're especially ecstatic.  In another month or so, the
last of the snow will be gone, and we'll be ready for our three weeks
of summer.
