The CF cards are more prone to breaking pins off the connectors, though
that's usually in poorly designed devices.
Hmm, I have take maybe 70,000 photos with *istD and never had this happen.
The CF reader on one of our countertop units has been replaced at least a
half dozen times now for busted pins.
One time the mother board also got taken out when two pins contacted each
other.
It can happen if you aren't passingly careful.
