Hey all
A guy who just purchased a Canon xt rebel (350D) asked in
news:dk.fritid.foto if his new dslr should make a rattling noise when he
moved it around or it was brooken. All the owner (thats a lot) answered that
"that's normal" its the built-in flash which make the noise.
Canon must have been in a hurry when they though the xt rebel on the market.
It's not a good build, just popular cheep platic. But it's 8.2 Mp, and
potentual buyers in that end of the market seemes to be too focused on
megapixels as the overall quality stamp. They don't seemes to realize that
in those sizes they most of the time will get their prints, they can't see
the extra quality 8.2 Mp will give them.

which has been my point all along. something like the Nikon D2X slightly
derated is what i would like. i could live with a 10MP sensor instead of a
12MP one, and somewhat slower maximum frame rate.

That's obviously how they can produce the remainder of the promised
bodies each
year, one step forward a couple of shuffles back. My concern is that
their step
forward won't even be comparable with the bodies at the bottom to the
mid-range
of the Canon line-up.
