My question had to do with equal size sensors. Full size sensors would, of course, allow more room and therefore, larger pixels and less noise. Both sensors being equal in size, at what point would a more compacted (greater pixel count) sensor lose its advantage by yielding an additional and offsetting amount of noise. Developing technology notwithstanding.
