i had an mv, and noticed the same thing as you. not having a manual, i didn't wonder whether anything was "wrong"; the exposures seemed okay at all shutter speeds, so i thought "cool!" my guess is that the manual is simply being conservative with its specs. hth, frank -- "Sharpness is a bourgeois concept." -Henri Cartier-Bresson
