Is there any cheap alternative to Vuescan that comes closer? I am a beginner
who got a Minolta Dimage Dual Scan IV yesterday. Last night wasn't a very
successful night but then obviously I need to spend lot more hours figuring out
how to use all these scanning tools and photoshop etc.

But if someone suggests that another free software is better than what came with
Dimage DualScan then I might as well spend time on that software's learning
curve.

Thanks,
Gaurav
