Why should I care about film change time, it's a modest performance requirement. Hell if I wanted to machine gun I could get a 100 frame back for my LX, (I already have a MD).

Pentax shouldn't aspire to having better performance than Canon? I personally would like to see 2-3 fps for 20-30 exposures. Rather than a 4-8 fps burst rate, just match the performance that I could get with a winder on my LX, that would be fine.

With or without the film change time?

Digital is a different medium. Sure, these things will get better, but are they perhaps already better than film (with the correct metric)?
