The present is what pays the rent.
For most of us the equipment doesn't pay for anything. Possibly
why we have a little different perspective.
Yes, such people are hobbyists and enthusiasts. Nothing wrong with
that. Why complain so much then? You should be enjoying the challenge
and intricacies of new developments, while exploring the joys of
using the equipment you own.
Some of us are happy with what we have. Some of us are stuck with
what we have. Others like myself view it as an expenditure that
will likely never be recouped. If I'm going to spend a significant
amount on camera gear in the future I want to spend it as few times
as possible, if that makes any kind of sense.
- If you're happy with what you have, what's the problem? Don't buy
anything, and stop complaining about new things that are different.
- If you're stuck with what you have, sorry to hear it. Complaining
about it isn't going to change anything. Figuring out how to get
unstuck is much more satisfying.
- If you just like to complain about the future things which might or
might not come to pass, or the past which presented you with a sour
stomach ...
well, keep on keepin' on.
