Dave,

You can download the latest iteration of Adobes DNG converter, and skip the
CS2 or Elements upgrade.  The DNG converter is free, and will allow you to
use the D200 Raw files.

Frankly, I'm thrilled with the results from Photoshop, both CS and even ore
so with CS2.  If you can afford it comfortably, get the CS2 upgrade.  ACR
3.3 is just super, IMO.  Plus, the idea of keeping everything integrated
makes for a smoother and quicker work flow.

If you have a legal copy of any earlier version of Photoshop, you can
upgrade to CS2 for about $169.00US  $450.00 sounds a bit steep.  How did
you arrive at that figure?
