Well I'm royally pissed! Last year I bought a new A*200/4.0 macro,
used it twice, and today, when I reached into the lens drawer and
pulled it out, anticipating starting on a project I've been toying
with for months, the freakin' lens exhibits a wobbly barrel and a
slight "thunking" sound. Another great Pentax A-series lens needs
repair.
I am convinced that newer Pentax lenses are far below the quality of
the earlier K-mounts and various Takumars. None of my earlier lenses
have given me a spot of trouble. They all focus smoothly, feel nice
and substantial in my hand, and I can drive nails with them.
