But the color is very real. At this time of the year (November), the sun 
barely rise above the horizon and we get blood red "sunset"  the "whole 
day". This was shot on one of the last days the sun was up at all (it stays 
below the horizon for over a month during midvinter and we only get twilight 
in the middle of the day). The landscape is lit by a blood red sun to the 
right in the picture coloring everything red.
