Mark, as you're probably aware, the mileage you can expect with a hybrid is very dependent upon your driving cycle, (city/highway) among other things. If your 65 mile commute is mostly highway you will not see the kick in mileage that the hybrids are noted for. The extra cost of a hybrid would go a long way to pay for your yearly fuel bill.
