Godfrey,

My only intent is to prevent having to change ISO setting a hundred times a 
hour in the dark with the D (and D users know what I mean) when shooting 
concerts the like and wanting to switch back and forth between available 
light and flash shooting. Nothing more and nothing less.
I don't mean the above to be (or not to be) linked to other auto or manual 
operation af any kind.

My idea is there must be a "ISO sensitivity setting" menu item with the 
following options:
1 - flash linked to available light
2 - flash independent from  available light

By choosing option 2, when accessing ISO setting via Fn button you get two
items to set.

Nobody is forced to set ISO sensitivity setting to option 2, if he/she
doesn't find it useful, hence I don't think such a feature would hurt :-)
