Yes, it's very difficult to get published. Approximately one out of fifty is published, and only about 10% of those could be deemed successful. I've been well aware of that from the start. But I'm a writer by trade, and I've worked in almost every other format, so a novel was inevitable. First person novels are particularly tough sells, so I have a long way to go.
