Fool, on nearly all SLR cameras with continuous AE you can still see
both the shutter Speed and aperture settings even while on full auto
Without having to do monkey slave button pushing
All day long.

If I didn't have to work a bit for my exposure readings, I wouldn't  
be as conscious of what my current settings were. I've found that  
being involved is a good thing.
