I can not say that > that > happens with a certain brand of film only. Some films are more prone to excess heat than others. I expect your lab has the dryer temp set on the high side. The problem is worse in winter when low humidity makes the film dry even faster. Kodak Gold 400 would come out of the processor so stiff that a 24 exposure run of fim could be held at one end and would supprt itself held parallel to the floor.
