Yes. Particularly for when you are making A3 and larger prints and/or working with finely detailed scenes, the K10D gives you more data to work with in rendering the photograph. The difference is not enormous ... max of about 29% in linear resolution ... so if you're making smallish prints (up to 8x12) it will be difficult to see.
