Dave,
I had some problems on my own when shooting the interior or a church with a
K1000 loaded with ISO 200 film.... during the day. I'm not sure if it would
happen with faster film but, in any case, I decided to use a MX for those
dim subjects I mentioned earlier. It worked nicely, except for one extremely
dim photo. After reviewing some Pentax owner manuals, at least those that I
happen to have, I believe that the M Series bodies can cope better with
night photography ( not to mention that it's easier to see a led than a
match needle against a dark background through the viewfinder). I can't say
for sure --- because I haven't tried them yet, under such conditions ---
but, from the M Series bodies the ME should handle night shoots better than
the MESuper or the MX. At least it can time exposures up to 8 secs. long. I
wonder if someone with actual knowledge could confirm this?
Eduardo.
