Its not moot because the thread evolved into
discussion of future usability/performance of
FF vs. DA lenses and having no K mount FF camera today does
not preclude simple discussion of future use
of all Pentax lenses ever made. The key point
I was trying to make is that many existing FF lenses
when used on future FF digital are going to beat the pants
off the best DA/APS combinations available today, due
to the larger format even with lower absolute
resolution FF lenses in some cases. I don't know about you
all, but I really see FF digital, even from Pentax,
as inevitable evolution, regardless of whether the
current FF lenses maximize the FF digital format or
not, because they can just sell all new FF lenses again
if they have to in some circumstances. They
can call them FA-D lenses or something (no pun intended).

This thread WAS about the dearth of used Pentax glass available at the
moment.
Your hijacking notwithstanding.
Until Pentax has a 24x36mm K mount DSLR on the ground, any further
discussion on this is moot.
