One of the many reasons I like the adaptors is I can get a couple cheap 
ones and then my lenses are bayonet, and much easier to mount.

Caps are nice, but in a pinch, the lens goes in the bag with no caps 
when swapping lenses. I'd rather take the risk than miss the shot.
