The screen image is also a reproduction.  Everything in the digital milieu 
is a reproduction or simulation since there is no authoritative original, 
nothing to adjudicate reality.

'Image' is a good word for everything of a digital nature - it is fleeting, 
transitory, ephemeral, having no substance.  That this is mis-applied 
without discretion to negatives and prints is only evidence that people 
don't understand authentic photography.
