You can buy new Zeiss screwmount lenses, but they're very pricey and  
only a few are available. To me, a screwmount DSLR wouldn't be an  
entry level camera it would be a camera for a niche market of  
collectors and enthusiasts. Which means it would only come after all  
other markets have been exhausted. And it would be the product of a  
VERY minor player.
