Bruce: My first SLR was a SuperProgram which I had until last year. I replaced it with a ZX-5n. I was happy with the SP and am happy with the ZX-5n. But....
1. I think the Viewfinder was MUCH easier to use and more importantly see in the SP. It certainly was brighter. 2. I miss the split field focusing when in manual. My dream is that the Viewfinder display/screen could change when I select manual on the 5n to a split focusing screen and the zoned view when in AF. I'd buy that it a minute! (I don't know if it is technically feasible but that would me something IMHO). Now the reason why I went with the ZX-5n: 1. Auto-focus. My teenage stepsons and wife will now use the camera. Which makes it more fun for all of us. 2. Pop-up flash. Just convenience. I do also have a Phoenix ZBIF-92P though. 3. The battery pack FG is a perfect accessory. I had a Winder ME II with the SP but it still required the button batteries. The heft of the 5n is perfect with battery pack. I am having a blast with the 5n and have spent way too much money on lens. (Just bought a SMC-F 85mm f/2.8 Soft on eBay.) I'm taking the camera with me more like I used to so that has to be a good thing. > Bruce Dayton wrote: > > I'm curious.
