Igor,

The DSLR bodies allow setting the aperture in Manual, Av, TAv, and Sv  
modes in steps of .5 or .3 EV. They report settings with that  
resolution in the embedded metadata. Whether the body can or does set  
the aperture steplessly in Tv and Program mode is irrelevant as  
there's no way to control it or report the setting beyond that.
