That could be entirely true.

I think the reaction is generated by seeing the thumbnails all together, because when viewed separately, I don't have the same gut level reaction. Also I know last time I saw them I had a regular CRT monitor at work and since then I've got dual Dell LCD's. So it very well could be my viewing conditions and perception.

Exactly which ones are the newer ones you've been having issues with?

They have not been touched! Only the new images are and two of the old ones.
If you have a different reaction to them, its you, not the images....
I have not boosted saturation on the images displayed now.
