Perhaps, but my Compaq Presario has given me nothing but hxxx over the years. Not to mention they chose to include the slowest HD and stupid software modem. It wasn't even the cheap model by the time it was bought. And their customer and online support are... almost none. My sister was even insulted by the phone support guy.
