I don't need this thingy myself, but with a couple 18 dBi gain antennas on a private WIFI & laptop back at a sat hookup news vehicle, it could be great for covering news events in real time... I suppose... maybe the wildfires out here... to make deadline... maybe...
There's a fellow who's sometimes down at Cook's Corner, a famous biker hangout out here. He uses a temporary remote digital camera setup to shoot folks riding up on their bikes and sells folks photo's of themselves, on their bikes, on the highway coming up to the place. Infrared trip, I think. Processing is out of the back of his truck.
