Back in the day, my Pinto was made just down the road from me in Michigan, my girlfriends was made in Canada, and another friends was made in Mexico. Couldn't see much difference. BTW, they were all bought in Detroit at the same dealership.
As to the keep Americans working thing, I think that is what we working class people mean, but the stockholders and management mean, keep my stock value up. That is the problem with trickle down economics, those people have money because they do not let it tickle out of their hands.
