So I've got a bajillion PEF files from over the years, and my photography hard drive is rapidly filling up (I can't imagine how fast it'll fill whenever I manage to upgrade to the K20D or its eventual replacement). I've been thinking about converting all my PEFs to compressed DNGs, but can't remember the various ups and downs I've read about in various threads here.
So my question is, are there any reasons one should NOT convert PEFs to compressed DNGs?
