The 2.8 lenses may be only 2/3 stop faster than the f3.5 but that 
difference alone would mitigate against using just the K 28 3.5 under 
many circumstances.  I might use it outside in relatively bright 
conditions, but all the inherent sharpness in the world won't make up 
for a misfocused image due to a too dark viewfinder.  I do that enough 
with fast lenses...
