Hi Malcolm It's good to see the LX & MX still fetching reasonable prices and that people still value them. If I sold all my other film kit I'd still keep the LX, at least one MX and at least one KX along with the K series primes I have. Digital was a bit of a learning curve for me but I'm glad I went down that route, the biggest problem was finding a good ulta-wide lens I was happy with. On the digital side I'm happy to keep three DSLR's but no more than three, if I upgrade beyond the K20D then either the K10D or K20D will have to go, I'm just in the process of selling some gear I no longer use.

I've really cut back on my film cameras - just one MX & a LX - but they are used frequently and will be whilst film is easy to get. These two are destined for the shelf when film is no more, I won't sell these. The shift from film as the medium to the camera has been difficult to get used too, yet I have to say the economics stack up very favourably against film processing, even with the amount of photography I do. Oddly enough, I sold most of the film cameras because I thought that the bottom would drop out of the market for them as digital cameras became widespread. The last time I looked, LXs still made reasonable money. Digital SLRs second hand don't fair badly either. I think I've finally got to the stage of accepting a camera (particularly digital) as something which does have a second hand value. It's time for me to move on with this. I think it's time to really look at offers on the K20D. To go back to the subject line - what do I plan to do with my old DSLRs - I think the answer is sell them on, in the same way I did with film SLRs.
