Very interesting backstory, Subash.
I'd be interested to see a photo taken soon after the unveiling, before
the stuff about "1939 1945" was added. I wonder what was in the lower
sections then?
Personally, I wouldn't have wanted "Empire" changed to "Nation", but I
can certainly understand the inclination to do so, after the many
decades of imperial rule.
