I browsed Cushman's collection through the war years, and was interested that while the United States fought a war on two fronts, he only shows one soldier, and two sailors amongst his images from 1942 - 1945; and all three are at or after the end of the war in 1945. There's not a single image that makes reference to the war.

Lots of pretty girls in skimpy costumes sun bathing along the shore of Lake Michigan though.

Makes me kind of wonder if his name was really Charles, and not Jodie.
