WRT Jostein's "Nylons" picture, many of the nests seen are constructed
out of plastic netting and line. It's a savage criticism of mankind's
abuse of the natural world, combined with a rosy look at how nature
copes with our intrusion. Or something. Not that I'm putting words
into Josteins art, you understand.
I did notice some of the detritus but thought it was too subtle to be
what Jostein meant - Norwegians tend to do things on grand scales (q.v.
fiddly bits ;) thanks for that.
BTW. I have seen some of the pictures before, posted to the list. All
appear _much_ better on the printed page. Particularly Bill Robb's
sunken bicycle.
I have to agree - much better. Computer screens are good but the printed
page still holds the edge in photography.
I still prefer projected slides for sheer magnificence.
