Also if film were dead (or even on life support), there would not be
two one hour minilabs in a town with under 10,000 population.
I think you'll find, if you ask, that their film volume is a miniscule % of
what it was 5 years ago and that the bulk of the printing they do is from
digital files.
I'd be very surprised if a film only minilab could remain profitable at this
point.
