Agree. I don't like to be slaved by a piece of software, no matter how appealing and performing it looks. A good software has to work for me, not the other way round. For that reason, I keep clear from Lightroom and as far as I can from it.

Godfrey, don't make general assumptions and take it easy. Can one or two people have different needs from yours? For me, the extra work (and time, and money) required by Lightroom and then getting tied to it forever is just disturbing. Since I don't truly need it, I keep away. Do you like it? Is it useful to you? Use it and be happy!
