Jack,

I have the hood from the 24-90; but the little bumps on the 16-45 that lock the 
hood on are too worn to hold.  I'm thinking about using a couple of drops of 
epoxy to build them up a little.

Actually, I'm not even sure how much of a difference the hood makes, except as 
protection.
