I never had a problem with the needles and didn't understand what all the fuss was about. Now, my Leica iiif is another story. That's fiddly. Although when I used it regularly, I got so I could reload it on the fly during a night walkaround.

You get used to them after a while.


I never did. Frankly I'd rather load a Leica M than anything with the
magic needles. They're too damned fiddly and they slow down loading
even more than Leica's flap and cover setup.
