I thought the same with my K20 & then I touched the K7 & heard the
shutter--ahhh, that was lovely to the ears. I do want the K7, so I'm *sort
of* saving for it--but mainly for the weight--I'm so tired of the weight--my
own--and camera gear weight; these days I'm traveling really light, and it's
still heavy. I guess I'm a wimp. A few nights ago I dreamt of my old MX,

I think that DSLR development has reached the point where incremental
gains in performance are relatively small, so upgrading becomes a matter
of trying to justify the expense when the current camera is 'good
enough'.
I my case, the K200D does pretty much everything I want, so I probably
wont upgrade until a camera comes along with similar features but with a
better high ISO performance and a sensor with a few more MP of
resolution. (Oh, wait. Isn't that the K-x?....)
