What do you call biscuits?

No. We never attach the word American to anything that's supposed to be
food.

Over here a biscuit is crisp and crunchy made from short pastry and
typically quite thinnish, except for Jaffa cakes. A cookie is fatter and
less crunchy with a soggy middle. A bit like the difference between Mark
Roberts and Cotty, really.
