I just stick them in my pocket, never had problems with dust or lint. If I don't have a suitable pocket I throw them into a designated compartment in the camera bag. If I need to work fast I'll take all the caps off (front and rear) before I start shooting, as well as fitting hoods. One of these days I'll buy a zoom lens.
