That's part of the sexiness of some stuff, like the Nikon D3 and EOS
1D that most people really don't need and that end up on eBay with
5-8000 actuations once the successor comes out. That also made me 2nd
highest bidder on an unused in complete box Nikon F5 50th Anniversary
Edition which was listed on eBay running out at lunchtime on a weekday
and went for a painful €782, i.e. about half of what they normally go
for. I was hoping for a steal and ended up €5 short. Classic eBay
fail, who knows the other guys highest bid. Good news is I had no real
money to pay for it anyway. Besides, I have no lens park to justify
its existence, no time, no photo jobs, nothing so the poor thing would
have bored itself to death only to make the statement that I am above
showcase queen marriages... glad I didn't get it =)
