>From a Photography standpoint the iPad has two real uses. 1. Portfolio. It's a slick portable image viewer with a first-class screen. This makes it a good option for a portfolio to take with you to show off your work. 2. Second monitor/tablet on the road. It's a peripheral, an iPod on steroids with limited general computing capability added. Think media player/eBook viewer/photo viewer that also can web browse and do email in a pinch.
