I'm guessing that you are not serious, but isn't the crop factor due
to a *combination* of the sensor size and the flange distance?
The crop factor is determined by how many pixels are masked off at the
edges of the sensor.
Mark, it would /really/ surprise me if after so many cameras with
exactly 1.53 crop factor, Pentax decided to introduce K-5 with slightly
different crop factor.
