I used to have the bounce card that I used /a lot/ with older Pentax
flash that I used to have. The flash would only tilt and wouldn't swivel
whereas the bounce card was the solution of that problem.
When I upgraded to Metz 40 MZ-2 I kind of bumped into these shadows but
I did not pay too much attention to them. Now I am all the wiser :-).

Before you spend your money on e-Bay, do a search for "DIY Bounce Flash
Template". There are a bunch of them out there. Here's one I found.

I'd just print page 2 on a page of white card stock to get the dotted
lines.
