LOL!
For the record "Cushie Tushies" is a brand of cloth nappy (diaper). So they
are worn ON a baby's "tushie" and are nice and "cushie" (soft). Their main
site is here: www.cushietushies.com.au
The idea of the cloth diaper seems to be making a comeback with the
concern for all things green.
Back in the 50s when I was a young child, diaper "services" delivered
fresh diapers to your home every week and took away the soiled ones to
be laundered. But that was back in the day when the local dairy
delivered fresh milk to your door in reusable glass bottles.
I have younger siblings, and if I remember correctly, my mom used a
company called "Baby Diaper Service". The commercial laundry used
boiling hot water, so the diapers were really clean. They also used
plain soap rather than detergents so there was no irritating residue.
But along came the disposable diaper with the convenience of not having
to carry a soiled diaper home again or keep it until the service picked
up for the week.
You could just change the baby and drop the soiled diaper out the car
door onto the parking lot wherever you happened to be.
