I shot a wedding for some very close friends I gave them the files, some pics and a wedding book as a gift. For a friend of a friend, who I knew quite well, I gave them the files and a few pics and charged them $300. In your case, if the person is a close friend and is paying for your travel, I'd insist on doing it for free. If you have a DSLR, I'd avoid renting one you're not familiar with. Work with a camera you know and use every day. Paul
