?> Quite a number of sound ideas and advices so far, so I might
only add: beware of Murphy. Of course, you are welcome to
keep reading the rest.

Thanks for the responses, everyone. Just to clear a few things up:

- If I could own a K-5 (or K-7) before the wedding, I would, but I don't think I can afford to yet. I am going to borrow a friend's K-7 for an event I'm shooting in April, so I should be able to learn my way around that body design easily. Back at my old camera shop job, I had to learn new cameras very quickly to be able to sell them, so I'm not too worried it.

- My K10D is woefully inadequate for shooting weddings. Horrible noise in low light coupled with back-focusing with nearly all my lenses, I am so frustrated with the damn thing I rarely take pictures at all these days. I will bring it as a backup, though.

- I've shot a wedding before and did alright. I explained to the bride that I am not a professional, but she seems okay with that. She doesn't want an album or any fancy editing, so I'm not looking to charge much.

I like the idea of finding out what low quotes she got, so I might just ask her about that.

Thanks again for the advice,
John
