"Global Warming" is a bad name for a real phenomenon. It doesn't actually describe what is happening. It's also become a target of bad pseudo-science paid for by people who expect to profit from denying the possibility.

The addition of green-house gasses from human activity since the beginning of the industrial revolution has had an effect increasing the amount of energy retained in the atmosphere.

One indicator of that increased energy retention is a small, gradual rise in average annual temperatures. Another indicator is an increase in the extremes of seasonal weather patterns.

"Global Warming" isn't the cause, it's just another symptom.

somehow I am by now disillusioned well beyond thinking that anything I
can say will make a dent but I am sure so is Paul so let us all be
happy together
